The GDPR is a piece of legislation passed by the European Parliament which comes into force on Friday 25 May 2018.  It aims to make it simpler for people to control how organisations use their personal details, and strict rules mean companies will not be allowed to collect or use personal information without the person’s consent.  Personal information includes things like your name, email address and phone number.
