WCTRS Y-III Young Online Facility

Management of social media and other online facilities to connect Young Members with the WCTRS community and Members’ initiatives.

The WCTRS-YIII involves the development of online networks and facilities for Young Members of the WCTRS. This includes creating and maintaining a presence on social media platforms, contributing to the WCTRS webpage, establishing mailing groups and a newsletter, and can include other initiatives suggested by Young Members and the volunteers. It will also include the promotion of the WCTR-16 Montreal, and the Young Researcher’s Conference.

Our Young Online Facility Volunteers for the WCTRS-Y 4th edition are Ann Mary Varghese and Eeshan Bhaduri.

Ann Mary Varghese (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur: Contact Email)

Ann is a Transport Economist researching in public transportation, transport decarbonisation, electric vehicles and cargo sector. Having pursued her graduation, post-graduation and MPhil in Economics, Ann has also two years of work experience assisting consultant to being a consultant herself at McKinsey & Co. and Dohwa Engineering Co Ltd respectively. Being a PhD Scholar at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (India) Ann is looking forward for productive working collaborations and global transportation exposures. Currently she works on the causality of transport infrastructure on economic growth assessing its productivity. Ann also finds interests in reviewing articles for Transportation Research Board and other reputed journals. Ann is optimistic of solving the sustainability puzzle of transportation infrastructure using econometric modelling, optimization techniques and stochastic decision-making.

Eeshan Bhaduri (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur: Contact Email)

Eeshan Bhaduri is a Doctoral Student (PhD) at the Ranbir and Chitra Gupta School of Infrastructure Design and Management at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is an architect (B.Arch 2011-16) and obtained his Master’s degree in Infrastructure Design and Management from IIT Kharagpur in 2018. His areas of interest are transport infrastructure, travel behaviour modelling (econometric choice modelling), and Geospatial analytics.
