WCTRS Prizes
The Society awards the following prizes at every conference
The Jules Dupuit Prize:
awarded to a person whose scientific and professional career has been of distinguished benefit to the transportation community. The Society Steering Committee elect a sub-committee to nominate candidates for this prize.
The WCTRS Transport Policy Prize:
for the most influential paper published in Transport Policy in the previous three years, nominated by the journal editors.
The WCTRS Grand Prize:
for the best paper in the conference, nominated by the Prizes sub-committee.
The WCTRS Young Author Best Paper Prize:
for the best paper in the conference presented by a researcher under the age of 35, nominated by the Prizes sub-committee.
The WCTRS Best Poster Prize:
for the best paper in the conference presented as a poster, nominated by the Prizes sub-committee.
The WCTRS Cairo University Prize:
for the best paper from a researcher from a developing country, nominated by the Prizes sub-committee.
The WCTRS Best Category Paper Prizes:
for the best paper from each of the Conference Research Categories, that has not received another prize. These are nominated by the Prizes sub-committee.
Shortlists for all prizes nominated by the Prizes sub-committee are drawn up before each conference. The winners are decided after all papers have been presented, and their prizes are awarded at the conference closing ceremony.
