WCTRS 50th Anniversary Manifesto Competition

The Manifesto for the Future of Transport Research Competition marks the 50th Anniversary of WCTRS and aims to empower the next generation of scholars to shape the future of transport research. Participants are invited to articulate a bold, interdisciplinary, and human-centered vision for the evolution of transport research over the next 50 years, addressing its responsibilities, priorities, ethical foundations, and societal role. This initiative strengthens WCTRS’s commitments to: (1) Engaging emerging researchers globally; (2) Reinforcing WCTRS’s long-term identity and cohesion; (3) Producing a forward-looking narrative for the Society’s 50th Anniversary.
