We are pleased to announce an extension of the deadline for WCTRS-Y applications to March 31. This extension provides an excellent opportunity for more young professionals to apply and benefit from being part of WCTRS-Y.

As part of WCTRS Education effort for its Young Members, we now invite applications to participate in WCTRS Young Researchers Initiative, Edition-5 (WCTRS-Y/Ed-5), which covers three Activities open to the participation of young members who apply and receive a formal notification of acceptance to participate. Therefore, the invitation is open to all WCTRS members from July 2023 to July 2026 who are less than 35 years old on the opening day of WCTR-17, 06/July/2026, Toulouse, France. Young Post Graduate students, young University staff, and young researchers in transportation, who are not yet members of WCTRS and are interested in applying for this initiative should register as new members of the WCTRS for the period January 2025 to July 2026 via WCTRS Secretariate (link), before application.

Details of each of the above three activities are given in this (link), including eligibility conditions for application and a summary note on each of the three activities (aim, description, operation rules, honoraria rules, ….).

For application, please complete the related Application Forms, Y-I (link), Y-II (link) and Y-III (link).

Due to its sustained belief in investing in its young members, who are the future of the society, the Steering Committee, STC, of WCTRS allocates honoraria worth US $22500 to a number of leading young participants in the three activities of the Initiative. The participants will be selected based on their merits and capabilities.

I look forward to receiving your application before the given deadlines for each activity and wish you the best wishes.
